You’ve found Captain John Gavin of Giant Bluefin Tuna Charters. Capt. John is a pioneer of the new Bluefin Tuna catch and release fishery in Nova Scotia and has over 25 years of experience fishing for these magnificent giants, as well as lobster and other species.
Along with his wife Chandra, they have opened the door to their fishing business and offer visitors the opportunity to peek inside the life of a traditional fishing family in Nova Scotia. They offer an array of ‘at sea’ experiences aboard their new custom built 45’ fishing boat “Game Changer”.
You can try their signature ‘Catch & Release Bluefin Tuna’ private charters or if that’s not your thing, maybe an adults-only relaxing sunset cruise with local oysters and craft beer, or a family mackerel fishing trip or wildlife sail where you can view whales, seals, bald eagles and other beautiful sea birds.
